What can I eat when reducing carbs?

The big question is, why are you reducing carbs? I understand that a whole heckload of carbs in a diet is a bad thing, but if you are exercising at all, you need the carbohydrates in order to provide energy to your body. I would still have some carbs every now and then if I were you, which means that yes you can and should eat some fig newtons.
