If I pay the Ticket, will Points come later?

I received a speeding ticket on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, The trooper said I was clocked going 88 in a 65. (at my last look I was in excess of the speed limit, but not 88mph.) Anyway, the ticket he wrote me says that I had violated the speed limit, and the speed is noted in the comments, however, he did not fill in the speed section, and said that doing it that way and the code he used will only cause me the cost of the fine ($109.50). My concern is if I just sign it and send the money, will I then get essed the points after the fact? I have had that happen with a Philly ticket, where i was told no point, and the code carries no points, so I signed the ticket, payed the fine, and a month later got a letter that they had essed points on my license...what should I do?
